Ok, crazy story. We got a call at 5:30pm MONDAY night that there was a baby for us to adopt in Little Rock. A 6 week old baby. And we could come down and meet the
birthmother and if everything worked out sign the papers and bring the baby home. So, we went to
Wal-Mart on Monday night and bought a car seat, pack n play, diapers, formula, and bottles. We drove to Little Rock YESTERDAY and met the
birthmom and baby, the
birthmom signed the papers and we drove home around 3pm from Little Rock with our DAUGHTER. It was totally a miracle how it all happened. God was in complete control of our situation and blessed us beyond what we could ever imagine.
So, we are parents. Just like that.
She is awesome. We have named her Esther Louise Hale. Louise is one of Margo's grandmother's first name and her other grandmother's middle name. She was born July 22nd. She was a couple weeks early and weighed around 6 pounds and now she is up to about 7.5 pounds. She has brown hair and deep blue eyes.
We have lots of stuff to share about how it all happened but I thought I would post a quick note to let everyone know about it and give you a few details. I know, I know, you want more than details, you want pictures. Here....

Ok. Crazy story. When Kristy told me that her name was Esther, I said, "Is it Esther Louise?" because that is my aunt's name. I was pretty much in shock when she said, "Yes. Yes, it is."

Oh yes, and I just wanted to say, I highly recommend cloth diapers :) Bum genius are the best in my opinion, the 3.0 One size is the BEST. It's a big upfront cost and you can get them from cottonbabies.org, I think 6 at a time, sometimes they have online coupons for them or something like that. If you have any questions about that stuff, feel free to ask :)
I mean, don't think about it now, just be new parents for now, but in a few weeks when you feel like it, you can think about that stuff :) But just be new parents for now. It's a huge adjustment, but it's good. You can think about cloth diapering and potty training and stuff like that later

I'm pretty sure I teared up several times today just thinking about little Esther. Thanks so much for the pictures. We are just so happy to see how God has worked. Little Esther has no idea how much she is already loved and how lucky she is to have you guys as her parents.
